The Smith County Medical Society Alliance Book Fair Foundation has raised over $700,000.00 for health career scholarships in the East Texas area and we also fund other ongoing health projects in our community.

Over the past 43 years, our semi-annual Book Fair sales have allowed us to fund:

 

 

In 1975, Smith County physicians contributed money to build our current Book Fair building to store, sort, and sell donated books. Since then our project has grown so much that we have run out of space! We have been presented with an unexpected and time-sensitive opportunity to purchase a larger building at an exceptional cost of $25.00 per square foot. This building would provide us with the critical space we presently need, give us considerable room to grow, and significantly enable us to increase proceeds for our scholarships.
